Quietly building reliable IT systems, calm teams, and human-centric technology.
π Why I Built This: My Story
If you are wondering why I created this platform and who it is for, here is the truth.
I was just like youβstruggling to survive while trying to break into the IT industry. I didn’t start with advantages. I started with:
During my studies, my first job was as a car washer. I later worked as a part-time telephone operator in college, and then as a salesperson in a furniture shop. After graduating, I tried desperately to start my IT career. I eventually landed at a tech company in Chennai, but the salary was barely enough to pay for shared bedspace and basic food.
With the support of my uncles, I travelled to Dubai to pursue my dream. For three months, I hunted. I got three interviews. I failed two, and the third company just took my documents with no guarantee of an offer. Defeated, I returned to Chennai.
Eventually, I got selected at TCSβbut not in IT. It was a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) job. After passing three rounds of interviews, I was offered a salary three times higher than my previous job. After so many failures and struggles, it felt like a lifeline.
But then, the TCS project manager called me into his office. He changed my life with this exact conversation:
“I see your resume. It is entirely about the IT industry. This job is a completely BPO process; anyone with basic system knowledge can do this. I know you passed all the interviews, and I definitely need people for my project, but…”
He handed me his personal business card and told me to think about it for two days. He said to only join if I was truly in desperate need of this specific BPO job, because my path was clearly elsewhere.
That honesty redirected my focus back to IT. From that moment, I built a career that has involved solving massive IT operations challenges across Iraq, Oman, Qatar, the UAE, and India. That journey gave me the experience to lead teams and achieve my career goals.
I strongly believe the right guidance at the right time can shape the future of any individual.
This blog is here to help passionate students and professionals get started, develop real-world skills, and build a roadmap to succeed. Knowledge is free to share.

Ask for Guidance: ask@buildingtheitguy.comποΈ The Reality I Build Today
Today, as an IT Strategist for Higher Education with 16 years of experience, I bridge the gap between complex digital infrastructure and vital academic needs. I donβt play politics; I rely on process, standards (ISO 27001/ITIL), and data to build systems that are fair and resilient.
π§ My Philosophy
IT is not about control; it is about service. My goal is to build a “Digital Campus” where technology is invisible, secure, and helpful.
𧱠Structure Creates Calm
I believe in SOPs over shouting. Clear processes remove the need for heroism or drama. Technology should prevent burnout, not cause it.
Leadership Scope & Impact
π Gratitude
- I am grateful to Almighty Allah for the favor and guidance through my entire life.
- I am grateful for my uncles, Basheer Ahmed, Mohamed Farook, & Ziavudeen, for their support.
- I am grateful for my parents who struggled and sacrificed for my studies.
- I am grateful for my friend Umar Saleem, who provided food when I had none.
- I am grateful to that TCS manager for the right advice at the right time.
- I am grateful that I struggled a lot with an empty stomach and empty pockets.
That struggle is what makes me stand here today. I want to help anyone in return by providing value for people with empty hands, empty pockets, and empty stomachs, but with a burning desire to succeed in an IT career.
